_Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient form of treatment developed in China that uses needles to stimulate meridians and energy points in the body. In studied cases acupuncture was found to significantly reduce the desire to smoke up to five years after the initial treatment (University of Oslo). Subjects of the study reported the treatments had effectively reduced their craving for tobacco. Acupuncture is not a magic cure in the treatment of any addiction, including smoking. But acupuncture is effective in making it easier to quit and remain smoke-free for good.
