In many reported cases the electronic cigarettes have not been shown to be safe. Nicotine is a stimulant proven to cause heart issues and in many cases the nicotine is sold in bottles lacking proper child proof caps. Nicotine is also a drug that is absorbed through tissue which can in many cases lead to unregulated exposure. Another practice is to smoke the electronic cigarette too long or often, which then leads to an increased demand for the nicotine.Rather than provide help to quit smoking, electronic cigarettes may actually be quite harmful.
